Tim and Lori Veach host social dances planned with the community in mind. They are "safe for the whole family." The dance music contains only clean and positive lyrics. They are available to DJ your dance party, reception, or other event. If you are planning a wedding in 2010, please call now to schedule a meeting with your DJ for your most important day!

Dance Calendar

During 2009 Tim and Lori were host of social dances most every Saturday night at the Ballroom Dance Company. December 26 was the last one of these regularly scheduled dances. In 2010, they will be focusing their efforts on other community efforts and on growing Portland Christian Social Dance Association.

This site will continue to annouce other community dances that they recommend or host.

Blue Ballroom Dance Floor Rules

These rules of the dance floor are posted to help make the dance floor a fun place for everyone.
Thanks in advance for reading and following these rules.

The dance floor is for everyone, beginners through professional dancers. Please be courteous and friendly to everyone. We host "social dances." Upturned noses are not allowed.

The line of travel follows a counterclockwise path around the dance floor. The dance floor has one lane normally used for traveling dances such as Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Country Two Step. The same lane is used for dances that have stop and go movements. Please refrain from doing stop and go dances until one is announced. You are always welcome to ask the DJ to play and annouce one.

The center of the dance floor is usually used for stationary dances such as Swing and Cha Cha.

When line dances are announced, stationary dances may be done on the north and south sides of the ballroom. Line dances are done in the full center of the ballroom. Please refrain from doing travel dances when line dances are announced; likewise, please do not do line dances unless announced. You are always welcome to ask the DJ to play and announce one.

Please don't stand and talk anywhere on the dance floor.
If you are seated around the dance floor be prepared to be asked to dance.
If you are not dancing or prepared to dance, please use the balcony for socializing.
Enjoy food served on the balcony. Food is not allowed on the dance floor.
